ถึงแม้จะเคยไปตุรกีมาสองครั้งแต่มีอยู่ที่นึงอยากไปมากเพราะเห็นจาก Photo Gallery ที่สามีถ่ายเก็บไว้แล้วรู้สึกว่าถ้ามีโอกาสไปตุรกีอีก จะขอให้สามีพาไป ที่นั่นคือ Cappadocia ในที่สุดปีนี้ก็มีโอกาสได้ไปเยือนตุรกีเป็นครั้งที่ 3 เราสองคนก็เลยวางแผนไปเที่ยว Cappadocia และใช้เวลาที่นั่นมากหน่อย

I had been to Turkey twice but I always wanted to go to Cappadocia. My inspiration is from what I saw on my husband’s photo gallery. So, we made a plan to stop in Cappadocia for more than a few days.

 

คนส่วนใหญ่จะเลือกพักเมืองที่นักท่องเที่ยวเยอะหรือไม่ก็ตามที่ทัวร์จัดให้ เช่นเมือง Göreme (มี Göreme Open Air Museum อยู่) มีนักท่องเที่ยวกว่าสามล้านคนมาที่นี่ทุกปี แต่สำหรับเราชอบเลือกแบบที่ไม่ตามใครและโชคดีที่เรายังมีแรงและกำลังที่จะเดินทางแบบ backpackerได้ ก็เลยเลือกเมืองที่อยากจะอยู่แบบตามใจฉัน เลยขอเลือกเมืองที่ไม่ไกลจากที่ๆเราต้องการไปเที่ยว เล็กหน่อยแต่ก็มีนักท่องเที่ยวแวะมาเที่ยวแบบเช้าไปเย็นกลับหรือไม่ก็พักที่นี่ซักคืนสองคืนแล้วค่อยไปต่อ สุดท้ายก็ลงตัวที่ Orthahisar สาเหตุที่เลือกเมืองเล็กก็เพราะไม่ชอบอยู่ที่คนพลุกพล่านมากจนเกินไป ถึงแม้ร้านอาหารจะมีให้เลือกไม่เยอะแต่ราคาจะไม่แพงเว่อร์แถมอร่อยอีกต่างหาก รวมทั้งจะมีร้านขายของชำที่คนพื้นเมืองใช้ซื้อของ เราก็จะได้เห็นวิถีชีวิตของคนแถวนั้นจริงๆว่าอาหารที่เค้าซื้อทานมันเป็นยังไง เค้าอยู่กันยังไง ไม่มีร้านขายของที่ระลึกหรือรถทัวร์ที่เต็มไปด้วยนักท่องเที่ยวจากทุกมุมโลกมากวนใจ

Most people will choose to stay in the popular town Göreme because it’s easy to go to Göreme Open Air Museum. More than 3 million people visit this town every year. But I prefer to stay in a small town, less touristy but not far from where I want to go for a day trip. Ortahisar is a perfect location for our needs; small, not too many tourists, and reasonable price for accommodations and restaurants. 

เราสองคนได้เริ่มการเดินทางด้วยการนั่งรถบัสจาก Ankara ไป Cappadocia ใช้เวลาประมาณ 6 ชั่วโมง ( รวมเวลาที่นั่งรถตู้ฟรีจากสถานีรถบัสที่ Cappadocia ไป Ortahisar ) ตอนที่ถึง Ortahisar อากาศค่อนข้างเย็น โชคดีที่วันไปถึงได้เห็นพายุฝนตอนพระอาทิตย์ตกดินพอดี ประกอบกับลักษณะของเมืองที่ไม่มีตึกสูงระฟ้า มีแต่บ้านเก่าๆที่มีสเน่ห์อยู่ในตัว ทำให้เป็นอีกวันที่ได้เห็นความสวยแบบเก่าๆที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้นนั้นมันดูเข้ากันได้ดีกับความงามของธรรมชาติแบบไม่ต้องปรุงแต่งจริงๆ

We started our trip to Cappadocia by bus from Ankara. It took not more than 6 hours bus ride including a short free van ride from the bus station in Nevşehir to Ortahisar. We arrived at a perfect time to see a beautiful storm during the sunset from the top of the castle overlooking this lovely town.

 

จุดเด่นของเมืองนี้คือ castle เป็นเหมือนป้อมปราการของเมือง ด้านในมีห้องเยอะแยะมากมาย ถ้าคนที่ไม่กลัวความสูง แนะนำให้เดินขึ้นถึงยอดบนสุด จะเห็นวิวของทั้งเมืองเลย ว่าแต่ต้องเสียค่าเข้าชม (ปีนเขา) นะคะแต่ไม่แพง แนะนำให้แลกเงินเป็นสกุลของตุรกี หลายๆที่รับสกุลยูโรแต่พอมาคำนวณแล้วเราจ่ายแพงกว่าถ้าใช้ยูโร

The must-see in Ortahisar is the castle. It is a medium fortress that you can climb up within 15 minutes to see a gorgeous view. It has an entrance fee but it’s not expensive. I recommend to have the local currency in hand even though they accept Euro because it’s cheaper.

พอลงจากรถตู้ เดินไม่ถึงนาทีก็จะเห็นโรงแรม Castle Inn ภายนอกดูเหมือนปราสาท จัดเป็น Boutique hotel ก็ว่าได้

After we got out from the van, we followed the signs of the place that we would stay. It’s not even a minute to walk and see this cool looking boutique hotel. I always dreamed to stay in a castle. Woo hoo 🙂

 

มีห้องอยู่ทั้งหมด 5 ห้องเท่านั้น  บรรยากาศเป็นกันเองเหมือนอยู่บ้าน สำหรับใครที่อยากสะดวกสบายในการไปเที่ยว ก็แค่แจ้งว่าอยากไปที่ไหนบ้าง เค้ามีทัวร์บริการให้ด้วย  เจ้าของ( คุณ Suat และหุ้นส่วน) น่ารักมาก เป็นกันเองและคอยหาเวลามาคุยกับแขกที่มาพักตลอด งานประจำของ Suat กับหุ้นส่วน คือ นักบินขับบอลลูน เค้าเคยขับให้ Martha Stewart และราชวงค์จากภูฐานอีกด้วย

The Castle Inn has only 5 guest rooms and each room has a different castle theme. They also arrange day trips to many nearby tourist attractions too if you would like to have someone set up the trip for you. The owner, Mr. Suat, is very nice and always spends time with his guests even though he has a full-time job as a balloon pilot. He has flown Martha Stewart and the royal family from Bhutan too.

What I like about this place is the privacy because there are only 5 guest rooms and only local houses around the hotel. I felt like I had my own castle in Cappadocia.

ห้องทุกห้องถูกออกแบบให้เหมือนกับอยู่ในปราสาท เค้าตกแต่งห้องด้วยดาบอัศวิน, ภาพอัศวิน, หัวบันไดเป็นรูปมังกร แต่ยังมีเอกลักษณ์ของที่พักที่ Cappadocia อยู่ซึ่งก็คือเหมือนเราอาศัยอยู่ในถ้ำ ผนังเป็น stone wall ถึงแม้การตกแต่งจะดูโบราณแต่ก็มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกให้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ตู้เย็น ทีวี ไดร์เป่าผม WiFi  ที่ชอบที่สุดคือ น้ำร้อนมาจาก แผงsolar-power บนหลังคา อ้อไม่ต้องกลัวหนาวนะคะเพราะเค้าติด heaterจากสแกนดิเนเวีย ไว้ทั้งในห้องนอนและห้องน้ำ

Like I mentioned before, each room has a different castle theme. I stayed in the room with stone walls, a real fire place (they use the heater from Scandinavia both in the bedroom and bathroom for your safety), painting of a Queen knighted her knight. Even though it makes me feel like I stay in the castle, they also have many convenient facilities provided in the room such as refrigerator, T.V., hair dryer, hot water heated from the solar-power, and of course WiFi!

Suat บอกว่าจริงๆที่นี่สามารถสร้างได้ 10 ห้องแต่เค้าต้องการที่จะดูแลลูกค้าอย่างทั่วถึงและต้องการให้ลูกค้ารู้สึกสบายเหมือนอยู่บ้าน เค้าอยากให้เป็น Boutique hotel มากที่สุดจึงลดเหลือเพียง 5 ห้อง ทำให้ห้องนอนกับห้องน้ำมีขนาดกว้างมาก ห้องที่อยู่มีอ่าง jacuzzi ให้ด้วย

The owner, Suat, told us that with the house this big, could have 10 guestrooms but he decided to have 5. He wants his guests to feel at home and more comfortable with the bigger space in the guestroom and bathroom.

ที่นี่ยังมีส่วนของดาดฟ้าให้นั่ง โซนในร่มก็มีโซฟาให้นั่งชมวิวด้วย แถมมีเตาปิ้ง-ย่างไว้สำหรับใครที่ต้องการทำบาร์บีคิวทาน ตอนแรกก็คิดว่าคงไม่มีใครทำหรอก ที่ไหนได้ คืนที่สอง มีแขกอีกห้องชาวตุรกีปิ้งบาร์บีคิวอยู่ เค้าชวนเราสองคนทานด้วยแต่ด้วยความที่เพิ่งทานอาหารเย็นมาแบบไม่มีที่เหลือ เลยต้องตอบปฏิเสธไปด้วยความเสียดาย กลิ่นมันช่างหอมชวนน้ำลายสอมั่กๆ ><

You can spend your lazy day reading on the deck or on a comfortable couch at the outdoor living room 🙂 If you feel like BBQ night, you can go out to the nearby groceries, buy whatever meat you like and bring it to the castle. They have a grill for you to use.

 

หัวค่ำหน่อยจะมีสุนัข 2 ตัวคอยเดินเป็น bodyguard มาส่งถึงหน้าประตูปราสาทกันเลยทีเดียว 🙂

Every evening, we had 2 bodyguards walking us back to our castle 🙂
